Gold Catering

SUMMARY
Whilst the Gold Licence cannot assure customers that all of their needs will be met, it does at least indicate to the customer that the Gold Licence caterer has met certain minimum prerequisites. For too long now, respected operators have been forced to compete with others who do not play by the rules. The costs for commercial kitchens, specialised vehicles, labour, on costs, taxes of any sort, waste disposals - the list goes on - are all charges which caterers know about, but of which the “backyard operator” remains purposely ignorant at the peril of the Public.

GOLD LICENCE FOR CATERERS

Applicants applying for entry into this industry recognition must be able to present supporting documentation in regard to the following :

* Health Inspection Report on all Commercial Kitchens of the operation

* Background resume detailing industry experience and/or listing any formal qualifications

* Certificate of currency of Workers Compensation

* Certificate of currency of Public & Products Liability Insurance (min $5 million)

* Payment of specified administration fee to Restaurant & Catering SA renewable annually or when ownership changes

* Indication under which Award employees are paid.

BENEFITS
The Public will immediately recognise caterers within the scheme by the very distinctive logo available for display once application approved

SAFEGUARDS
A Licencing Committee also has the power not only to recommend approval of applicants into the scheme, but also to suspend or cancel those who subsequently come in breach of its specifications. Representations and appeals are available processes for those objecting to resolutions for suspension or cancellation of acquired Licences.
